As children learn to master physical skills, they also realise that actions they put out into the world can produce results. The physical confidence to do this translates into mental confidence in other areas. They begin to believe in themselves and their actions.
Our modern society has largely lost our sense of clear rules for children. Ironically, when children are given clear rules but also healthy outlets they can thrive and lean self-discipline. Karate classes allow your child to build discipline while having fun.
Japanese culture is heavily influenced by principles around respect (Rei). By bowing, following rules and building the concept of respect with strong role models, your child will be able to learn that in different environments respect is necessary but not stifling.
